A 'car safety feature' is an element of a car that is designed to provide protection to the occupants and driver of the vehicle. Each safety feature serves a different purpose and function. For example, seatbelts are designed to keep a passenger in the vehicle, where as traction control is designed to prevent the vehicle’s wheels from slipping on low friction surfaces. All car safety features can range in size, shape and design depending on the type of vehicle or when the vehicle was manufactured.
